When Dan Hite asked me to review the SpellQuizzer spelling software program, it took me awhile to decide if I would do it. First of all, reviews are not the main purpose of my blog, so I am a little choosy. I like my reviews to be relative to the content of my blog, which is mainly homeschooling and digital scrapbooking. It passed that criteria, but my second concern was how could I endorse a spelling software program that cost money, when I knew Spelling City was out there for free? Well my friends, I'm glad I took the time to check it out!
SpellQuizzer is spelling software for students that need help learning their spelling and vocabulary words. It is not a stand-alone spelling curriculum, but rather was created to compliment whatever spelling curriculum you family has chosen to use. The teacher creates custom spelling and vocabulary lists, or downloads pre-made spelling lists from the SpellQuizzer website. You can even share your list with other homeschoolers via export/import functions (pretty helpful for co-op situations or if your friend is one level ahead and you beg him/her to share the list ;) )
Quick highlights:
---Since it is downloaded onto the computer, you do not have to be on the internet to use it.
---Easy to input words--in fact if your kids are old enough they could do it themselves.

---Ability to add voice recording of words
